KUNSTHAL 44MOEN

Kunsthal 44Møen is an international exhibition space for contemporary art, housed in a converted auto repair workshop in the beautiful countryside of Møn. The kunsthalle is open from early June until early September, presenting an ambitious exhibition programme with emerging as well as established artists from Denmark and abroad. Each season, the exhibitions are accompanied by a programme of artist residencies, talks, performances, concerts and educational activities.

44Møen was established in 2008 by the German curator and art collector René Block in close collaboration with a group of friends, who all have strong ties to the island: The Danish artist Bjørn Nørgaard, the Danish experimental composer and flux artist Henning Christiansen, the German artist Ursula Reuter Christiansen as well as the curator and founder of gelbeMusik Ursula Block.
