The bakery shop in Næstved is in Kirkestræde 5, the old half-timbered Merchant’s House right by Sct. Peder's Church. Here is a bread sale and a charming café, and you can get probably the world's best croissants! Behind GodtBrød is chief baker Signe Kamilla Vad Pedersen, who for several years managed Nimb Bakery in Tivoli.
GodtBrød bakes sourdough bread on organic, stone-ground flour, baked in a stone oven. This kind of bread takes time, and fortunately, we have plenty of time in rural Denmark. Out here, the sky is high, and the commodities are near. Here, we have the time to develop taste and strength.
At GodtBrød you will find a narrow selection of quality bread and pastry. The sourdough bread is our focal point, slow and flavourful artisan bread. Traditional dark Danish rye bread. Wheat loaves with a juicy crumb and a crunchy crust, oven spring and a golden glossy surface.
And even sweet sourdough: sweet rolls with cinnamon, cardamom, and other lovely flavours. Danish squares and croissants. Filling according to the season and the capacity of our local suppliers. Rhubarb in early summer. Apples in autumn, Danish and organic. Marzipan and spices for Christmas.
Our coffee is carefully selected, dark and specially roasted (and organic). Have an organic Naturfrisk-soda with your pastry in the café, and buy butter, cheese, and other essentials for your breakfast.

GodtBrød Næstved is open Tuesday to Sunday 7-16. Only closed on 1st and 2nd Christmas Day as well as New Year's Day.
