Telt og familie Feddet Strand Resort

Stage 1: Næstved to Feddet, 31 km

From Næstved, cycle 31 km via Regional Route 54 to Feddet peninsula. The trip is idyllic, and you’ll pass an array of beautiful forest areas, all of which are inviting places to take a well-deserved break. A great choice for your overnight stay is the family-friendly Feddet Strand Resort, which offers plenty of activities for the children: a jungle course, trampoline land, an indoor pool, the beach and much more.

Faxe Kalkbrud

Stage 2: Feddet – Feddet, 27 km

Stay an extra night at Feddet Strand Resort and let day two be a day trip to Faxe Limestone Quarry and Geomuseum Faxe. Head out along Panorama Route 425 “Fjord and Fossils”. The trip is 26 km long, and halfway along you’ll come to the impressive Faxe Limestone Quarry, where everyone can try their luck hunting for fossils. You can rent a hammer and chisel at Geomuseum Faxe and try to find fossils in the hard limestone.

Natur Ugledige

Stage 3: Feddet to Vordingborg, 30 km

Today’s stage is 30 km in length and takes you from Præstø Fjord to Vordingborg. Follow Route 9 along Præstø Fjord and into Præstø, where you can take a break, have an ice cream and enjoy the idyllic market town or the harbour overlooking Præstø Fjord. If you’re here during the summer holidays, drop by H.C. Andersen World, Denmark’s only theatre park. From Præstø, follow Route 56 towards the lake at Ugledige and Stokkede Skov. Despite the place’s grim history – Galgebakken – it is an ideal spot for enjoying a packed lunch at the shelter, which also has a campfire area. From here, the trip continues towards Vordingborg.

Stage 4: Vordingborg to Køng, 32 km

For the fourth stage, the Danish Castle Centre and Goose Tower is the perfect place to start the day. You can learn more about Valdemar IV, Valdemar the Victorious and Valdemar the Great here with the interactive iPad guide, or try your hand at the iPad Ghost Hunt. Route 8 takes you right past the Danish Castle Centre and you follow the route for a total of 32 km, where you will also pass the nature area at Knudshoved Odde and Avnø Nature Centre.

Gavnø Slotspark

Stage 5: Køng to Næstved, 19 km

Your legs may be getting tired, but stage 5, which is 19 km, takes you north along Route 8 and just past Gavnø Castle, where the experiences are magnificent.
