When the town Christmas tree is switched on and the scent of glögg, sugar roasted almonds and Danish pancake puffs fills the air, we know that Christmas is approaching in earnest in South Zealand & Møn!
The Christmas tree in Vordingborg will be switched on on Friday 29th November at Slotstorvet. On the same day, the Christmas tree will be switched on in Karise, and Santa will come to visit while Christmas carols are sung. In Præstø and Haslev, the Christmas spirit also peaks this Friday, when the Christmas tree lights of the two towns will be switched on and the Christmas sales begin.
The Christmas tree on Axeltorv in Næstved is switched on on the first Sunday of Advent, which falls on 1st December this year. In keeping with tradition, Santa Claus will arrive by boat to Næstved Port, and the day will be filled with fun activities for children and adults. So join us in welcoming Santa, and watch as together with Næstved’s mayor Carsten Rasmussen, he switches on the lights of the Christmas tree at Axeltorv.
